Brothers, Stos (Guitar/Vocals) and Miti Goneos (Drums/Vocals) form fuzz riddled rock 'n roll outfit Bite The Buffalo.
The British pair recently moved back to the UK for the opportunity to take their music to an international audience.
The pair did most of their growing up in the mining towns of The Copperbelt, Zambia where they got good tans and nice accents. Releasing their 'EP Bromigos' in 2012 got the boys all around the UK / Europe and through to The United States. Following up a successful year with, soon to be released, debut album 'Blue Lips' (February 2013) written in a Lighthouse off the coast of Dorset and recorded in a garage in Bath.
"Armed with a 70's Hofner, a Marshall Stack, and a shedload of filthy fuzz, Stos holds up the riffs and melodies whilst Miti is the backing vocalist and harmonica howlin sticks man"
"The visual aesthetic is clever and purely incidental, but it’s a record label’s dream. Two very similar looking guys, from a land far away, playing music that sounds like a motorbike orgy. They could bag a deal purely on that basis, but today I’m glad I still get the chance to see them in a cosy beer soaked rock'n roll venue"
"2013 will see Bite The Buffalo for a full tour of United States in March - performing at in cities such as Austin TX (SXSW Festival), Los Angeles CA, Nashville TN, Las Vegas NV, New Orleans LA to name just a few. Then back home for a UK Summer Tour and The UK Festival Circuit"
"It’s greased lightning, it’s chrome plated rods, it’s Kenickie in the back seat of his car with Rizzo. It’s the embodiment of rock and roll, given the opportunity to grow up and become aware of itself." by Richard Beach - Wales Online
"Bite The Buffalo are a different proposition – a Zambian two-piece specialising in a brand of stomp rock. Frontman Stos is the main draw, excitedly delivering everyman lyrics with a raggedy but formed voice, cranking out bluesy riffs and cock-walking the stage like he owns it. Each track is short, sharp and to the point, the perfect antidote to what went before and mesmerising to watch. Good noise." by Venue Magazine
